BURTON OFFICE - BOSTON, MA

ID202_Burton_RECEPTION_DESK_png.png

A company of the designer’s choosing has their headquarter’s relocating to an office space in Boston. The design had to be accessible to the two CEOs, one with a vision impairment and the other confined to a wheelchair. The space must also appeal to all four generations of workers: tradionalists, baby boomers, gen-xers. and millenials.

The company chosen was Burton and the concept for the project was chill, an adjective describing the main brand environment of the company. Using evidence-based design research to inspire creative work spaces, a comfortable and collaborative atmosphere was created that encouraged enjoyment as well as relaxation and offered some privacy sectors. Custom furniture was created in order to provide employees with a unique, yet accomodating work office.
